Side Tank Prairie
I found while searching through my idea books a 2-6-2T locomotive built for logging by The Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1913. The locomotive was
built for a logging oufit in Castle Rock, Washington.
Bachmann's new Mining Mogul is a great engine but....a little too dainty for my liking. I started by modifying the original cab using 1/32"
aircraft plywood and styrene. The bunker and side tanks were built from styrene. An Ely Thomas Shay stack was added to replicate the one on
the real locomotive. This is a great little machine that pulls well when you add 2 pounds of lead to the boiler and side tanks.
