La Gobernada...

Is this the ultimate Big Hauler conversion? This is my take on the standard gauge Central Pacific 4-10-0 "El Gobernador", rendered as a narrow-gauge engine! Extended chassis, extended cylinders, rebuilt tender, scratch-built boiler, cab, domes, stack, etc. I'm planning to paint this in a quite inappropriate Jim Wilke-inspired CPRR livery when she's finished; and, being smaller, she'll be named "La Gobernada"!

El Gobernador (#237), was built to be a helper on Tehachapi, but couldn't produce enough steam. It was built 1882, put into service in 1884, it scrapped in 1894! In service about 10 years!
