Martin's Spur 80, part 3

Chaps, I introduced you to Martin Rindlisbacher in Martin's Spur 80, part 1. He is a largescale Railroad builder at a scale of 1:11.25, or 80mm gauge (Spur 80). His railroad is entirely hand made in wood, and is battery powered.
Martin is the Wood Shop Teacher at the Viktoria-Stiftung Foundation, Switzerland, a school that teaches skills to the underprivlaged. His role is primarily teaching girls between the ages of 12 and 18 new skills.
Martin and his students have been hard at it, building the 3 Mason Bogies, as a class effort, under the expert tuition of Martin, woodworker, sculptor and all round nice guy.
Ok some more pictures for the Spur 80 log, building 3 Masons at a scale of 1:11.25 scale.

Parts for the cabs

Martin's students machine the cornice to the cab eave.

Making the outer relief to the cab windows and panels..all hand cut to curves..no bending.

Martin's Ladies apply carefully turned bolt heads into pre-drilled holes on the cab side. Thats a really stylish thumb ring too, I like it!

The wood roof on the cab looks like panels of sheet metal.

Martin puts me into his stylish cab...can't you just smell that beautiful wood...the cab blows me away! Stay tune as Martin continues his work!
